Goulburn Race Club Syndicate - Update Since June, the syndicate's two fillies have progressed very well through their preparations. So Pretentious had her first start on the Canberra Acton Track in mid August and ran a very credible fourth after encountering a wide run from a bad barrier. Guy has given the filly plenty of time to recover from this run and has scheduled her second run for Friday 17th September on the grass track at Canberra. Provided the filly can strike a dry track and draw a favourable barrier we would expect her to be very competitive. Gold Stream has now had two barrier trials at Goulburn. Her second trial was a major improvement on the first and after showing good gate speed, she hung on very well to finish second. She is now due to have her first race start at Kembla Grange on Saturday 18th September over 1200m. Gold Stream will gain valuable race experience from her first start and will head to the spelling paddock for the Spring after Saturday. With one of the best seasons we have had in years, this filly will certainly thrive in the paddock and will hopefully strengthen up for the next preparation in the Autumn of 2011. General News Welcome to Graeme Spackman who has now moved his training operations on course. New State of the Art Barriers will be arriving from Simtrack Barriers in mid October.
