| From the President .... Greetings to all ! It's hard to believe that half of the year is almost over already. These chilly months of the year do not affect the members and patrons ON TRACK, because "Country Racing at it's best" can be experienced all in one place, from the warmth and comfort of the enclosed grandstand. No reason for you to miss any of the first class racing. The Club would like to welcome our new Track Curator, Mr Jody Rodgers, his wife Michelle and children Dearne and Tom to Goulburn. Jody is origionally from Sydney and moved to the Central Coast 19 years ago. He has been involved in the racing industry for over 12 years, firstly with Wyong Race Club (greyhounds) before changing codes to thoroughbreds where he worked for 7 years. Jody has spent the last 5 years at Cessnock Wine Country Race Club.(owned by the Newcastle Jockey Club) The Club would also like to pass on their appreciation to Ben Baldock, Assistant Track Manager, for keeping the ship afloat in the transition period between Track Curators. Local trainers continue to mix it with the best on track ... Congratulations to members Joe and Rita O'Gara of Tobermory Stud, on winning the 2008 Sydney Cup with No Wine, No Song.
